Specialization Course in Criminal Law by Joost Nan

Joost Nan leads the module on Exceptive Defenses in the Specialization Course in Criminal Law organized by the Willem Pompe Institute. This course covers a broad spectrum of substantive and procedural criminal law, as well as international (European) and ECHR aspects, with a focus on the practice of criminal defense attorneys.

The course is designed for lawyers who hold a training certificate and have at least four years of experience as criminal defense attorneys, and who have successfully completed either the ‘Course in Criminal Evidence Law’ at the Vrije Universiteit or the ‘Profiling Course’ at the Willem Pompe Institute, or for lawyers who hold a training certificate and have more than eight years of experience as criminal defense attorneys, and have completed at least 10 CLE points’ worth of criminal law courses in the preceding two years.
