Collection Procedures

Collection forms a poignant part of tax disputes. Initiating collection measures by the Tax Authority often aims to increase pressure on you and/or your company. With various collection options, the Tax Authority can force you to pay tax debts. Even before the tax assessment becomes final, you may receive reminders, enforcement orders, or seizures. Under certain circumstances, collection involves the Tax Authority holding you personally liable for the tax debts of your company or holding your company liable for the tax debts of others.

Fortunately, regulations provide various options for legal protection. With the right legal assistance, it is often possible to obtain a payment extension while awaiting a final judgment from the court regarding the tax assessment or to negotiate a suitable payment arrangement with the Tax Authority.
